EconoReel™ is a new company founded in 2002 by father
and son team, Robert and Jacob Ripplinger. They have a long
history of supplying spools and reels to the wire and cable
industry. Robert founded Spooltech in 1989 and supplied millions
of spools and reels to customers in the West and South. In
1997, Robert sold Spooltech. In 2002, Robert and Jacob decided
to go back into the business.

Robert
Ripplinger is President of EconoReel™. Robert is a Manufacturing
Engineer (BS Mfg E) and successful businessman. He holds eight
patents on spools and reel improvements and more on the way.
His inventions will save you money. Robert's number one goal
is to provide customer satisfaction.
Jacob
Ripplinger is Vice President of EconoReel™. Jacob is a
Mechanical Engineer (BS ME) and has been in the business over
ten years. He has been the key engineer in implementing several
innovative spool and reel designs. Jacob's up-to-date engineering
prowess will save you money.
Gene DeFraties is Sales Manager of EconoReel™.
Gene graduated from Illinois State University with a BS in Education.
He started in the reel industry in 1983. Gene has sold plywood
reels, wood reels, nailed wooden reels, plastic-fiber core reels
and all types of plastic spools and reels. Gene lives in Taylorville,
Illinois. He enjoys traveling, golfing, cooking, and gardening.
